Chair: Tracey Tardiff, parent
Tracey Tardiff is the Family and Community Coordinator for the Children’s Council; Watauga County’s Smart Start Partnership and Resource and Referral Agency. Seventeen years ago, when Tracey and her husband, Scotty, came to Watauga County to visit a friend for a long week-end, they fell in love with the area and all the friendly people. They immediately knew this was where they wanted to spend their lives and raise their family. Tracey has a BA in Psychology from UNC-W and a BS from ASU in Early Childhood Development Birth-Kindergarten.
Two Rivers Community School’s educational mission embraces everything that Tracey holds dear for Reilly, their son, who is in the third grade.

Kay Philipp: Community Member
Kay Philipp has been fortunate (minus the ice storms) to live here in Watauga County for the past thirty-odd years. She keeps herself busy with a family, a variety of jobs and ever-evolving hobbies. The common thread weaving itself through her career moves is that of working with children and their families. As a member of the Board of Directors of Two Rivers Community School she is especially interested in the further development of parent and community volunteer work/play at the school. She currently works at The Children's Playhouse where she's had the pleasure of meeting lots of parents of TRCS's students. Their enthusiasm about and commitment to the EL process was a determining factor in her agreeing to join the Board.
